Christmas is coming...

Well that's another fortnight that has flown by. Where is all the time going? It's probably a good job that the next challenge over at Aud Sentiments is a Christmas one, because the way things are going, it'll soon be here. (Shudder, I'm still waiting for summer!)

I have to confess every year I am useless when it comes to Christmas cards, every year I say I'll start them early, and then December creeps up, and the rush job & panic of Christmas card making commences, usually the day before final posting!
So a Christmas challenge is a definite bonus, something that's going to start that ball rolling, and break the usual failing process!
For this challenge Aud Sentiments are so excited to have Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps as our sponsor. They are giving the winner their choice of 5 digital stamps.

Here is a little bit about them...

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More, a division of I Did It Creations, was created and is
owned by Robyn Weinrib.  Robyn offers a wonderful variety of digital stamps and digital papers, designed to meet the needs of all digital paper crafting addicts for every occasion.

OK, now onto the challenge. We want to see a card or project with a Christmas or Holiday Sentiment!

Robyns Fetish Digital stamps were kind enough to give the DT team some lovely stamps to work with (Big thank you). For my card I used Paul Penguin sleighing and as his title suggests he does come on a sleigh, but I chose to cut the sleigh away for this card. He's cute, I have a soft spot for penguins! lol. I've coloured him with my Pro Markers, decoupaged him and added some pompoms to his hat.

He's been added to a few layers of various blue papers, some faux stitching, some glitter to sparkle up the snowflakes on the paper, some lovely blue pearls and finished off with a Christmas sentiment.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Challenge up Your Life - Christmas in summer
Crafymess Challenge - Animal with a blue theme
Samuel Taylor - Blue and white Christmas card

Time to Chillax

Yet another fortnight has flown by over at Aud Sentiments. So that must mean it's new challenge time....
This fortnight we want to see projects which
include a number in the sentiment.

For this challenge we are so excited to have Digi Darla as our sponsor.
Thanks so much!

Here is a little bit about them...

DigiDarla is the brain child of Kim Eskola and her daughter Emilea.

Emilea and I both enjoy creating and when the idea of creating digital stamps came up, it sounded like the most wonderful way to earn ever!

There was only one problem! We are both shy and dislike the center of attention! As a way of "hiding behind the scenes" and avoiding having one spokeswoman, DigiDarla was born!

The stamps you will find in the store and on this site come from our art as well as a few family friends that help to digitize so we can keep up. Even Emilea's art teacher has granted permission to create digis from her artwork.

For my card I've used the 'beach time' stamp from Digi Darla. I think the penguin is adorable, and I so wish I was sat on a beach with a cool drink right now.

The sky background has been paper pieced & then the rest has been coloured in with my Pro Markers. I opted for bright and cheery. The parasol has been coloured in the same colours as a parasol we purchased when I was a child on my 1st beach holiday abroad. Happy memories :)
I've decoupaged the parasol so that it pops out a bit.
And at long last I get to use those sweet little flip flops, they've been in my stash for years!

The card is based on the sketch from this weeks challenge at sketch Saturday.  I do love their sketches.

I would like to enter the following challenges with my card

Sketch Saturday Challenge Week-220

That's it from me, fingers crossed for that nice weather at the weekend, here in the UK.
Have a good one.

Baby Girl

Another new addition has arrived, welcome baby Mya....

For this card I used the digi stamp set 'baby clothes' by Eline Pellinkhof from Cuddly Buddly, its a gorgeous little set of stamps, that you can mix and match. Here I've used the shelf, baby clothes and teddy. There are also some shoes and a babies bottle as part of this set. Great value for money.
I've coloured them with my ProMarkers, and added an image of an F1 car to the baby suit. The new daddy is a huge F1 fan, we've also ordered a little baby suit that had a F1 car on too, so I thought it would tie in nicely. I've decoupaged the image to give it a little more dimension.

I've had this baby charm for years, but I've never managed to use it. Finally the bakers twine enabled me to add it to a card, in a way I was happy with. I've added it along with a diecut swing tag with the babies name on.

Then finished the card off with a couple of buttons.

I would like to enter the following challenges with this card

Whoopsi Daisy - Challange - Die cuts and/or Punches - Die cut tag & punched corners on image.
Dream Valley Challenge - 38 - Die-cuts and Punches - Die cut tag & punched corners on image.
Cutie Pie Challenge - 24 - Spots and Stripes - Spotty paper, striped bakers twine.
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes
Crafty Ribbons  Challenge - 25 - Seeing spots and dots

Welcome Baby

Another fortnight has gone by. I've been absent from Blog land just lately, we're currently in the process of looking for a new home. The search has been going on for some time. Within recent times we've lost a house to somebody else beating us to it, then followed by having to walk away from another because the estate agents were so hideously bad, and now we've found a house, that we both have totally fallen in love with. The problem now being is this one is set to go to auction. Basically to cut this short, I'm a little bit stressed.

Anyway here's a bit of a side distraction, my DT card for Aud Sentiments this fortnight...
For this challenge we are so excited to have Stamp Fairy as our sponsor.
They are giving the winner a $10 voucher for their shop! Thanks so much!

Here is a little bit about them...
OK, now onto the challenge. We want to see a project with a sentiment to Welcome a Baby!

Please don't forget the sentiment!

Stamp Fairy very generously gave the DT a couple of digi's to use. For my card I used peapods 1 image 3

Such a sweet image.
I've coloured it with Pro Markers, decoupaged it, & turned the pea pod into a rocker card, hence the circular shape.

Nip over to Aud Sentiments and take a look at the great inspiration from the other members of the DT.

Tag it!

Wow the time is flying by, I've been a little quiet because we've had family visiting from the other side of the world, so crafting has temporarily been on hold, starting to get back into the flow again now. Although a tidy up of my craft room before the visit has resulted in me not being able to find anything now! lol

It's back around to challenge time again at Aud Sentiments. For this challenge we are so excited to have Tickled Pink Stamps as our sponsor. They are giving the winner a lovely prize.

Here is a little bit about them...Cute, Quirky and Pink!  They are an Australian online company - owner Kellie has 3 very active children who keep her busy outside of craftland!  Personally, I think they have a gorgeous range of images, some are beautiful, some more quirky - really something for everyone!  Please pop over and take a peek!

OK, now onto the challenge. We want to see you TAG IT!  This means that whatever you make, your sentiment needs to be shown on a tag!  So, you could just make a tag - or you could make a wheelbarrow full of elephants with a tiny tag hanging on it! Just don't forget your sentiment!

Tickled Pink very generously gave the design team a choice of a digi each. (Thank you TP)
Wow, overload so many gorgeous stamps to choose from, this was a challenge in it's self. In the end I couldn't narrow it down to one, so a couple of other digi's may of fallen into my shopping basket (whoops).
The digi I chose for this challenge though was 20's Evie. Isn't she a doll?

I decided she looked ready for a cruise, and with family visiting from overseas, travel was quite a theme around me at the time. I made my card to look like a luggage bag, and of course that gave me the perfect base for the all important luggage tag with my sentiment on.

I placed a few travel images onto some kraft card, with a little emphasis on french things, they sat nicely with my sentiment, and it is Tour De France time.
A couple of strips of brown card made belts, with the addition on some sizzix buckles, and photo corners made nice corners for the edge of the luggage.
A nestabilities label die, cut in half made a handle. Finished off with the all important sentiment tag tied on with twine, and the gorgeous Evie with the addition of a luggage case for herself.

I would like to enter the following challenges with my card

Whoopsi Daisy Challenge - Use up your stash - Those buckles are years old!
Incy Wincy Designs - Dust it off challenge - Those buckles are years old!
Pile it on - kick back and relax- What's more relaxing than a vacation!
The Paper Shelter Challenge - 73 - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - Link Party

Have a nice weekend. Fingers crossed for some sunny weather here in the UK.

FRIEND

It's Challenge time again over at Aud Sentiments.
For this fortnights challenge we would like to see you use the word "FRIEND" on your projects.

For this challenge we are so excited to have Polka Doodles as our sponsor. They are giving the winner the three images that the DT were lucky enough to use. (Thank you) So get yourselves over to Aud Sentiments and take a look at the cards from the DT.
Here is a little bit about Polka Doodles...
We believe in our hearts that everyone can be creative if they have the right tools at their fingertips. We strive to provide crafters with unique, beautiful, quality digital artwork, rubber stamps and other papercrafting products produced with love and care here in the UK. Our passion for what we do will help inspire you to create stunning projects and enable you to make beautiful cards, gifts and memories for your loved ones. .......don't just print it - Polkadoodle it!
 ***
For my card I've used the lovely daisy image. I've printed a few different sizes onto pink and aubergine paper, then cut and layered the daisy to give it lots of dimension. I then printed a couple of the leaves onto green paper and placed them underneath. Added a button, a band with SPECIAL FRIEND & then added to some pink and purple layered papers.

I'd printed quite a few daisy's. I wasn't quite sure how many I was going to use on my card so whilst I had the papers handy and my craft stuff out, I made a second card with all the bits for a lady who was celebrating her 80th birthday. This time I added a bit of bling to the flower with some glitter.

I quite like this digi, because you can use it as a flat image, or make beautiful flower embellishments with it.

I'd like to enter the following challenges
The Paper Shelter - 71- Flower Power 3 flowers to make one beauty :)
Crafty Card Makers 71- create your own flowers 3 flowers to make 1 beauty :)
Hugs
