Baby Girl

It's baby boom time! This one is a baby girl card. Again I've been waiting on the official name release so that I could make the card personal.

I've used that wonderful stamp set called 'a little birdie told me' from Digi stamp boutique. (It's a set of bird themed images and elements. You get to have great fun making your own sweet little image.) See I told you it's versatile. This time I duplicated the bird image 3 times, for a daddy, mummy and baby bird, and added the sentiment 'Congratulations on the little one' .

I've coloured it with my Promarkers, punched a lace border using a Martha Stewart border punch, and added some baby girl ribbon and a little bit of bling with some flower gems.

It's fab Friday, so the weekend ia almost here. Have a good one.

Happy Anniversary

Digi stamp boutique have a wonderful digi stamp set 'called a little birdie told me', it is a set of bird themed images and elements. You get to have great fun making your own sweet little image. The set is very versatile.

I had an anniversary card to make so I used the branch, heart on a string, bird (duplicated and flipped) and a smaller heart.
I think it's so cute. I've coloured it with my Promarkers, punched a heart border using a Martha Stewart border punch, and added some velvet ribbon and a pearl buckle.

Happy me!

Me again, I have to share my wonderful news that I was lucky enough to win over at 'Lets Craft and Create'.

I'm thrilled to bits because I have won some wonderful crafting goodies.
Wow, looking forward to seeing Mr Postman in a few days time :D

xx

Happy Retirement

Hi Peeps

Todays' card is for yet another leaver from work. This one's under better circumstances though, as it's a retirement. Oh, I wish I could win the lottery and retire from work. Just think endless days of crafting, sun seeking, walking, holidays.... *sigh* sorry lost me for a little while there!
Back to it, my retirement card had to be a fairly quick one as I have to admit I forgot about this one. I've been quite heavily distracted with other things.
So I called upon some really old crafting stash, a crafting CD produced by Joanna Sheen called 'The Jayne Netley Mayhew collection' is a couple of CD's thats full of wonderful animal pictures. I've used this CD many times, but not for a few years now though. Isn't this image gorgeous?
The 2nd vital ingredient for a quick card is a sketch, and that came from Willow Sketchie

I've made a card for my friend who has just recently given birth to her 1st baby. I held off on the making of the card because I wanted to add his name to make it more personal.

I chose the middle row from the bingo challenge of 'Ribbon, Embossing & Congratulations' all things that fit lovely with baby cards.

The image came from Cuddly Buddly and is called 'Sleeping baby & lamb', it's a 2 stamp set, the other image being a sweet little lamb. The images are by Eline Pellinkhof, and she has quite a few adorable baby themed stamps, of which quite a few made it into my basket!

I used my nestabilities to cut the circles and the scalloped frame around the baby, and my new Polka dot embossing folder for that lovely background. A ribbon bow and some sparkly gems finish it off.

Father's Day

A card for a very special man...my dad.

For this card I used the sketch from Sketch and stash current challenge. Image is 'Robot Dad' from Pollycrafts, which has sadly closed down now, although some of her images are now available at Little Miss Muffet.
Coloured with my beloved ProMarkers. I can honestly say when I 1st started buying ProMarkers that I thought to myself, Grey, hmmm boring colour, why on earth would I want a pack of 5 different greys? LOL, how I laugh at that now. It's the pack of colours that I use the most! I even have 8 different shades, and considering more!
Papers and elements have come from various Peppermint Creative digital kits, recoloured to coordinate and fit my red, blue, grey/white theme.

Birthday card for a girl

Wow this is a busy week, I have so many cards on the go I don't know if I'm coming or going!
The card I'm sharing with you today is my DT card for the current challenge at Aud sentiments. This fortnights challenge is any sentiment for a child and is sponsored by Tiddly Inks. The challenge finishes on Tuesday 19th June, so you still have plenty of time to get your entries in.
For this card I've used 2 images, kiki from Tiddly Inks, you can get this cute little dog for free at the moment, and Ava from Saturated Canary. Ava was a blog/facebook freebie from Saturated Canary some time ago. If you haven't already joined get yourselves over there, from time to time she has freebies, lots of inspiration, new releases and funny stories.
My inspiration for this card came from Incy Wincy, where their challenge this week is to use more than 1 image. The sketch is from Sketch Saturday's current challenge, the red, blue & grey colour theme for the challenge over at sketchy colours, faux stitching to cover a few challenges, and I made the blue dotty paper for the Sugar Creek Hollow challenge to match the blue's in her dress. The images have been coloured with my ProMarkers, with the added addition of a die cut number 8 to the balloon.
Phew, I'm awarding myself a gold multi challenge award! Lol ;)

I'm back ;)

I'm back off of my holidays.

We've had a wonderful time over in Wales. We had a few good days of sunshine, & a couple of rainy ones. Luckily the 'big day' was a beautiful one. No, not a wedding, the 'big day' was on Tuesday 29th when we had our own little Olympic quest to climb Snowdon early in the morning to meet the Olympic torch up at the top. (Which might I add the torch was cheating by going up on the train!)We started our ascent at 6.30am, which in it's self was a major challenge (I'm not a morning person!) and after lots of Ooooo's and Awww's, photo's, and puffing and panting on my part we reached the top in a smidgen under 2 hours. A good little crowd had already started to gather, & the BBC news helicopter was buzzing around. We found ourselves a little spot round the side of the mountain, and settled in whilst we waited for the torch.

Initially we had wonderful views, but the clouds move fast up there, and started wrapping around us.

We waited for almost 2 hours, and then it finally arrived.
Carried up to the summit by the mountaineer Sir Chris Bonington.

A fantastic atmosphere, a once in a life time opportunity, & well worth that early morning rise!

We took the Miners track back down, stunning views.

 A superb holiday.

I came back home to find out that my little pooch had cracked a bone in her foot, she apparently thought she'd try flying, and established dogs can't fly! Doh, I'm glad to say she seems to be making a full recovery now though.

I also came back to find out I got a top 3 spot over at Incy Wincy, Yipeeeee.

Thank you Incy Wincy, and thanks to everybody for your lovely comments whilst I've been away. I shall be catching up with all things blog at the weekend.

In the meantime Aud Sentiments have started a new fortnightly challenge, which is Any Sentiment for a Child's Birthday. For this challenge they are sponsored by the awesome Tiddly Inks. Get yourselves over there, and join in the fun.

We're almost there, so I'll wish you all a great weekend.
